Circus themed parties have become very popular in recent years and I can see why. The stripes, animals, and childhood charm of the traditional circus lends itself well to a happy celebration. If you think so too, here are a few party ideas perfect for a modern circus themed first birthday party for your little one.
When a very dear friend asked me to design the printables for her circus themed party for her two daughters, who were turning 1 and 4, I knew it was going to be something special. Cirque des Soeurs, or the Sister's Circus theme began to take shape. She knew exactly what she wanted. She chose a red and aqua theme for the entire décor. She wanted printables to decorate every tiny details she so painstakingly planned. There was an elaborate candy display, home made canapés for the grown ups, a photobooth, face painting stations and even an old fashioned pop corn machine.
I designed the invitation which went out to a 20 people.
I chose to highlight the big top idea with the red and aqua being the 2 prevalent colours.
The printable set included cupcake toppers, signage, food cards, straw flags, cut outs, stickers and gift tags.
She planned everything to perfection with the food and set up. The printables added the finishing touch on a perfectly thought-out layout.
