When I designed this lovely couple's wedding invitation, I had no idea it was going to make such a splash.
Shayni and Micah celebrated their wedding on top of a cliff on the Tutukaka Coast in New Zealand.
It was an intimate wedding with close family and friends. The bride and groom are active, sporty and very down to earth. So they wanted their invite to reflect them in a way, that it was not too formal or traditional.
Their wedding pictures truly depict that they are no traditional couple. They made the news with their jaw dropping, beautiful wedding picture, by Warren Williams from WILLIAMS PHOTOGRAPHY.
The photo is taken beneath the El Torito Arch, and the couple braved the fresh 19C water, with Mrs Couch in her wedding dress. Shayni Couch, nee Hawkins, 24, grew up in Tutukaka and worked for Dive! Tutukaka during school holidays from the age of 15.
Shayni came to me knowing exactly what she wanted, right down to Pantone shade of green.
She wanted something that was elegant yet modern so we decided on a typographical layout.
The couple had her heart set on the classic letterpress method of printing, and chose to print this simple design in 2 colours. Here is the result.
Their wedding and beautiful wedding photo shoot caught the eye of several newspaper reports.
